Happy New Year!

I hope that everyone had an excellent holiday break. As we get rolling again, I am hopeful that we keep the strong participation that we have had in the last few months of 2025. I hope that you will stick with us throughout 2026.

The start of the year also brings the start of the Winter 2026 class season. Breaking the ice will be our January Dance Social on January 9th, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Our featured dance will be Foxtrot for the evening, followed by 2 hours of mixed ballroom and line dancing.

Ida Lee classes will start on Sunday, January 11th, 2026. Our offerings for this quarter include both of our line dancing classes, Ballroom 101, Rumba II, & Swing I. The enrollment window for these classes will be open until Friday at noon. As always, make sure you sign up early to ensure that your spaces get confirmed for these classes.

Our Fall season starts this weekend on October 5th!

Classes listings can be found below. Make sure to sign up by Friday, October 3rd to ensure your spaces in our program.

Our Halloween social will be on Friday, October 10th, 2025. If you would like to come in costume, please feel free to do so. We will not be holding the costume contest this year, so it is just for laughs and fun. Regardless of if you choose to come in costume, please join us for a great night of dancing.

We are working on bringing back our Charity Social in November for the 17th annual event. I hope to have more information on the event soon, so be on the lookout for an update coming your way.

I also want to make a request to you all. We are making a new push going into the end of the year to get more outreach for ourselves here as well as our Ida Lee partners.

If you have enjoyed your time with us, please help spread the word of mouth. If your friends have ever asked you about your dance classes, please bring them to one of our socials. If you take pictures at one of our dance socials, help by posting them on your social media. If you think I’ve done a really good job with you all, please leave us a review on Yelp or other review aggregator.

I appreciate all your help and hope we can make a big impact as 2026 approaches. It is my privilege and pleasure to teach for you.

Regretfully our Line Dance Social for this evening is cancelled due to low enrollment.

We will try again in July. Please sign up early if you want to keep these events running.

Our summer season swiftly approaches right on the heels of our spring season. New classes will start on Sunday, June 22nd. We have a number of offerings ranging from our regular line dancing and ballroom 101 classes. Our level 1 dance is Salsa, while our level 2 dance is Waltz.

Registration will continue until Friday, June 20th. Make sure that you sign up early to confirm your spaces!

Our ballroom dance social will be this coming Friday, June 13th at 7:00 PM. Our teaser lesson will feature Foxtrot. The general dancing will run from 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM and feature all of our ballroom and latin dances. Registration will run through close of business on Thursday, June 12th.

The line dance social will be on the third Friday of each month for the summer. This means that our next event is on June 20th. We will also be scheduled on July 18th as well.

Summer schedules can be tough, but I hope to see you out dancing!

Happy Easter to everyone!

I just wanted to send out a reminder that there is no class today, Sunday, April 20, 2025 due to the holiday. We will reconvene next week on 04/27. I have confirmed that we have room space regardless of the Garden Festival, so we are good to go.

Also, before next Sunday, we will have our monthly Line Dancing Social on Friday, April 25. The lesson will be from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM, teaching at least 2 new line dances that we have not previously offered. 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM will be mixed line dancing, including a huge mix of line dances from country, club style, ballroom, and partnered to offer.

Make sure that you sign up by Thursday to ensure your spot and discount rate.

I hope everyone enjoyed the week off of classes for the Super Bowl.

We are back to lessons this coming week. Our Ballroom Dance Social will be this Friday, 02/14. Join us for our Valentine's Day Dance with the romantic Tango as our featured dance.

Classes will resume on Sunday at our regular times.

With our cancelled class last weekend, I just wanted to send out a quick reminder that we have our first line dance social starting this Friday, January 25th!

What can you expect? We will have our lesson hour from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM, teaching at least 2 new line dances that we have not previously offered. Then from 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM we have a huge mix of line dances from country, club style, ballroom, and partnered to offer. All the dances that we have worked on in the last two years will be there.

I hope that you can join us this Friday for our inaugural event. The discounted rate is being offered until close of business on Thursday, so sign up soon to make sure you get your discount.

It looks like they have officially cancelled classes for after 1:00 PM today, 01/19. So, we will all regroup next week.

The make-up session will be added to the end of the class, so we will run for an additional week.

Inclement Weather Update #3: For Sunday, January 19th. Ida Lee Recreation Center and Tennis Facility will operate regular hours. Classes starting before 1:00pm are going as scheduled, classes starting after 1:00pm are cancelled.
