Father’s Day weekend. Not sure what I can say that hasn’t been said. This kid gave it his all, last minute and came through big. I wish we had gotten a new rain instead of sending him out on a rain in 500sbk that was already torn up badly. I know he could have topped it. His drive and focus was where it needed to be all weekend long. Unfortunately his thunderbike race was cut short in turn 1 when he had podium pace there as well.
He took that 660 from 120s the first few short rides down to a 15.8 in one practice/prequal session after 1/3 of a Penguin Racing School Inc. day on it between coaching and trying to fit in a few sessions. That to me was the most impressive thing I’ve seen him do and he’s been impressive on 2 wheels since his days with NEMM Racing New England Mini Moto .
We were lucky his injuries from the thunderbike are much less then they looked and he will heal up. With half the season over we hope to finish strong and will be looking at options to get the bike down to a trackday and motoamerica event in NJ if possible. If anyone is attending the event and can help with transport please let me know as we decide if we can make 1 round happen. I know doing MA is not cheap so if we think we can fit it in any help would be appreciated and any knowledge of the process would be great as we have never done this before.

I also want to apologize for how I acted after the crash. The info I got from someone in turn 1 that was not accurate had me venting about something that was just seen wrong. Incidents happen and I’m glad everyone made it out relatively ok.
