On Saturday, we held our annual Parrothead Party. It was a great opportunity for our members and guests to hang out and catch up between our racing seasons. This year we had the honor of hosting the induction of Gerrit, into the Order of the Blue Gavel. This great honor was bestowed upon Gerrit by the visiting District 51 Commander, Michael Kirchgestner.

What a night for racing on the lake! Our Thursday night races continue to draw new Sailors week after week. It is still early in our sailing season and we are always looking for new members.
We are as much (or more) a social club as we are a sailing club. Many of our members are boatless and sail as crew on a members boat or simply enjoy the many social activities we hold throughout the year. Check out our website and lets go sailing.

It turned out to be a perfect night for sailing. Initially, the wind was a little suspect with gusts about 10 knots, but all Skippers handled their business and it was exciting to see the boats screaming down wind towards the finish. Thanks to Chuck for setting up an exciting course. We still have lots of racing to do this season. Come on out and join us.

Last night was another excellent night of racing on Lake Conroe. With a new course layout and a steady wind it turned out to be an exciting race for both the cruising and racing fleets.

The first race of the season is in the books. It was an outstanding evening for sailing on Lake Conroe. With eight boats at the starting line, it was a great way to kick off the season. If you missed the race yesterday, there are plenty more races to collect some points. Come One Come All LCSA racers. Next week looks to be another exciting Thursday on the lake. See you out there.

Lake Conroe Sailing Association sailors, Gerrit Rickwalt and Diane Harrison take advantage of the beautiful weather and perfect wind today on Lake Woodlands and enjoyed sailing their homemade wooden "Rooster" sailboats.
