Mission Statement
Tenacity Dance Company’s (TDC) mission is to inspire students to achieve any dream both inside and outside of the dance community by providing a training environment that influences personal and team growth that helps shape the future generations of tomorrow. Our mission is to educate and train dancers of all ages in a positive, professional, and enthusiastic environment that enc
ourages students to express themselves and build individual confidence through the art of dance. About Us
Tenacity Dance Company was started in 2016 by owner and artistic director Jayna Lucia. TDC offers a state of the art training program and facility and is committed to the success of each student. Our goal is to inspire students to dream big as we build up their character, self-confidence and overall morale in a positive, disciplined environment. We want to expose all students to the performing arts in a way that will prepare them for life both on the professional stage or non-performing arts related career. Programs
Studio Dancer (non-competitive) Program
Designed for the non-competitive dancer. This program introduces students to tap, ballet, jazz, contemporary/lyrical and hip-hop at a time that they see fit! These classes move at a pace that allows non-competitive students enough time to comprehend information without feeling overwhelmed. Studio classes focus on building confidence by allowing students to express themselves freely in a safe and nurturing environment. Each studio class will begin with a warm up and include center work, across the floor, and a short combo. Dancers will learn one recital dance per style in each level to showcase what they have learned that season. A perfect way for students of all ages to have fun and exercise at the same time! Part Time Company Competition Program
The PTC is a great transitional program for current studio dancers to experience the competition side of dance. These dancers take class with the studio dancers and are expected to be great role models and leaders to the studio program dancers. They will learn different variations of steps being taught to the studio dancers in order to ensure the proper progress of each dancer. PTC dancers will explore further ways to express themselves through the art of movement in a more mature manner. PTC dancers are required to take at least 3 classes (ballet, contemporary and a class of their choosing) and will compete at 2 local competitions with 2 routines (one jazz, one contemporary) with the option of competing with a tap or hip-hop routine (this will be based on number of students wanting to do each style). A great program for students who are taking a step back from the Full Time Company. TDC offers a Mini (5-8 year olds), Intermediate (8.5-12 year olds) and an Advanced (12.5 and older) PTC program. Full Time Company Competition Program
The FTC is a program designed to inspire and challenge dancers who are serious about dancing and could lead to a professional career in the performing arts. This program offers an intense schedule packed with cardio/strength training conditioning, professional technical training, and engaging choreography in a small classroom setting. Students will take class in a variety of styles including; Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Turns and Leaps, Acro/Tumbling, Strength and Stretch, Modern, and Pointe. Dancers will perform one dance in each style for competition and have the option to audition for a solo/duo/trio. Here at TDC we understand that not every dancer in the FTC program wants to pursue a professional career. This program will not only provide dancers with great training, but will also supplement them with valuable life lessons that students can apply to any career they choose. Teamwork, responsibility, time-management, self-discipline and expression are some of the skills students acquire while in the FTC program. Students ranging from ages 10-19 are eligible to audition for the FTC program. Our FTC dancers train 3-4 days a week in a multitude of classes. FTC members are selected through an audition processes.
