Last weekend the ol lady and I were invited to this kiddos b-day party. I’m terrible at picking out presents, but I knew I couldn’t go wrong with a classic Zebco 33.

Fast forward to today. Mr. Benji and my buddy Triston got on the water with one mission. Get a Striper on the other end of Benji’s new rod/reel combo. Little man harvested 3 striper with his new gear. Ton of fun to watch. Good job buddy!

Had The Sawdust Veteran himself, Matt, and his wife Jennifer out on Lake Whitney yesterday morning.
I’ll say this — these two are NOT fair-weather fishermen. It was rain… and more rain… and then some more rain. They certainly came prepared. Rain gear and all.

We had to grind it out and stay patient, but in the end we tracked down a hungry school and got to work!

Big thanks to y’all for sticking it out with me. Can’t wait to have yall back out…rain or shine!
