Had The Sawdust Veteran himself, Matt, and his wife Jennifer out on Lake Whitney yesterday morning.
I’ll say this — these two are NOT fair-weather fishermen. It was rain… and more rain… and then some more rain. They certainly came prepared. Rain gear and all.

We had to grind it out and stay patient, but in the end we tracked down a hungry school and got to work!

Big thanks to y’all for sticking it out with me. Can’t wait to have yall back out…rain or shine!

No — I didn’t take all these guys out on my 22’ center console by myself 😅 I had some help from my good buddy Kip with Just A Ho**er Guide Service and Troy with Guaranteed Guide Service. I can always count on these guys to get the job done — and we did just that today. Great work, fellas.

I may run a one-man boat most days, but I can still put together your corporate outing, family reunion, or stick to a good ol’ single-boat trip.

I want to say thank you to everyone who’s reached out lately offering to help with Jeremy’s insurance. That really means a lot to me.

For now, I’d like to hold off on accepting that kind of help unless we really hit a tough spot and truly need it.

What I’d much rather do is offer up a fishing trip and get a chance to spend some time on the water with those wanting to help Jeremy. It is greatly appreciated. I cant thank all of you folks enough. His support team is A+

Longtime loyal client Jesse joined me this morning, bringing along his grandson Sawyer. I think the fast action got to Sawyer’s head—he started smack-talking like a seasoned pro to both Jesse and me after yanking in his first few Hybrids.

After we filled the cooler with our limit of Hybrids, we went after some sand bass. Can you believe the rookie challenged me to a sand bass catching competition? I might’ve grabbed the other rod a little too eagerly in my rush to humble this eager young angler—haha!

Great seeing you again, Jesse. Had a blast with you guys today. Looking forward to our next fishing trip!

Another successful trip with Uncle Mike and Autum! This year they brought along friends Chris and Becca to join in on the fun. The bets were on, the smack talk was hot and the fish were fired up! All around good day, looking forward to our next smack down!

Jeremy has officially completed four rounds of chemotherapy. Each round involved a week-long stay in the hospital, where he received three different types of chemo throughout each night. After a couple weeks of rest between treatments, he was back at it again. He’s faced it all with unbelievable strength and courage.

This week, we’ll be heading to Houston for further testing and follow-up appointments. The doctors will evaluate how the cancer has responded to treatment and decide whether Jeremy will need additional chemo or if it’s time to move forward with surgery to remove the remaining cancer.

I am incredibly grateful for everyone who’s been part of Jeremy’s journey. Whether you’ve offered support, checked in, prayed, or simply shown love—thank you. You’ve helped create a support system that continues to lift Jeremy’s spirits and encourage him to keep up this fight.

My goal remains the same: to relieve as much of the financial pressure as possible, so Jeremy can focus entirely on healing and getting stronger. With that said, I’m kicking off another fishing trip raffle. All proceeds go towards helping Jeremy. Thank you in advance for your participation.
