Some of our favorite parts of the Main Salmon aren’t always on the water; they're also the stops and stories along the way. From soaking in cliffside hot springs to exploring old homesteader cabins, the River of No Return is better when you take the time to pull over.

Taking a trip deep into the wilderness usually comes with massive logistics: packing meal plans, setting up camp, and keeping everyone fed, safe, and entertained.

A 6-day expedition down the Main Salmon with Wet Planet flips that script.
From the launch at Corn Creek to the pullout at Carey Creek, our guide team runs the show: 🍳 Fresh, multi-course wilderness meals cooked for you every day. 🏕️ Hauling all heavy camp equipment, kitchen gear, and dry bags ahead of time.

You just show up, row, swim, soak in the hot springs, and spend 6 days completely unbothered by logistics or cell service.

Rafting by day, fine dining by night. 🍷🧀

One of the best-kept secrets of a 5-day Owyhee expedition is what happens after we pull the rafts onto the beach. Guide-cooked dinners (yes, fresh Dutch-oven desserts in the backcountry are real), and endless stargazing with zero light pollution.
You bring the appetite for adventure; we’ll bring the feast. 🏕️✨

Ever wondered what makes floating the Owyhee River so special? 🌵

Here are a few fast facts straight from our expedition itinerary:

📍 65 Miles of Wilderness: Our 5-day journey takes us from the launch point in Rome, Oregon, through dramatic desert canyons down to Leslie Gulch.

📜 Wild & Scenic Protection: Over 120 miles of the Owyhee have been protected under the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act since 1984, keeping this high-desert canyon pristine and undeveloped.

🌊 Class III–IV Whitewater: From splashy wave trains to classic rapids like Bullseye, Whistling Bird, and Montgomery.

🦅 Wildlife & Geology: Keep your eyes peeled for Golden Eagles nesting high on 1,000-foot basalt walls, bighorn sheep, and ancient petroglyphs carved into canyon rock.

♨️ Natural Hot Springs: Daily opportunities to stop the rafts and soak in geothermal hot springs right along the river bank

Some of the best adventures require a little patience. 🏜️

Because we didn't get high enough snowpack to run the Owyhee River in 2026, we’ve had our eyes set on Spring 2027—and we can already tell it’s going to be one for the books.

Known as "Oregon’s Grand Canyon," the Owyhee is a remote, high-desert paradise with towering canyon walls, natural hot springs, and splashy Class III rapids. Because it relies entirely on seasonal snowmelt, this trip is rare, wild, and worth every second of anticipation.

10/13/2026

In a world where we’re surrounded by screens and an ongoing to-do list, the river is one of the best places to unplug. On a multi-day trip, it’s not just about navigating the rapids—it’s about the quiet and simplicity of being purely in the moment. When daily distractions are gone, you’re able to be truly present with great people, incredible views, and the rhythm of the river.

Ask anyone about their first multi-day trip—the memories stay with you long after the water clears. 🌊
