I do not think I’ve mentioned it here but I’ve been the head coach of a middle school xc team this fall. Have not been a head coach of anything for twenty years. Assistants here and there but not leading the show. Can’t believe it’s been that long as I remembered how much I enjoy that role.
Today was the league championship meet….over 800 middle schools grades 5-8. Impeccably organized meet.
My girls who went 8-0 in dual meets, were second today out of a 16 team league.
The sixth grade non varsity girls were second today too!
My varsity boys who went 7-1 in dual meets finished sixth today in a stacked 16 team league.
So proud of them all.
Low volume, moderate, high intensity runs, running games, relays, fun days, team building and learning the culture of XC. That’s how we did it. And it went pretty well.

Goodbye to the old and hello to the new!

The Honda fit i bought in 2016 with 24,000 miles on it...it was a 2011 spott model. It took me many many places and got the job done while also being a headache at times...did not have AC for the last 3 years!

Onto a brand new unknown model by KIA called the K4 GT Hatchback....like combining a sedan like sports car with a small suv. Its a 2026 with literally 21 miles on it...most of that by me. Thing is loaded and operates off my phone! What an upgrade!!

Here's to a long healthy relationship.
