Mother’s Day Race Recap 🌸🏁

We unloaded with a pretty solid car right off the trailer and drew a good pill, putting us starting 2nd in the heat race. After getting to the bottom early and having to play a little defense, we were able to bring it home 3rd.

With the invert of the top 9, that lined us up 3rd for the feature. We slipped back a little on the initial start, but once the tires came in the car really started to move. We found something working on the bottom and worked our way back up to 6th with about 10 laps to go.

Unfortunately, a late-race restart shuffle ended our night early after tearing the RF shock tower off the car. Definitely not the way we wanted to finish, but there were still plenty of positives to take away from the night.

Race day here Devil's Bowl Speedway - West Haven, VT !!

...Race day recap…

Unloaded a not very fast piece in warm ups, but kept digging and making adjustments throughout the night.

Rolled off 4th in the heat race and brought it home 3rd. Car was still a touch tight, but we kept working on it for the feature.

Started 9th in the feature and pretty much stayed right around there all race long. Passed a few cars, lost a few spots, but overall a solid night considering how the night started out. Sometimes you have to take the decent nights, learn from them, and keep building.
