Shout out to this month’s Male and Female Athletes that were nominated and selected for their hard work and commitment to taking advantage of every opportunity they have to grow in their sports. 🏅Arianna Stealy🏅
Arianna’s consistency and dedication continue to set her apart! Even after undergoing a minor medical procedure, she still made time to come in for lessons and keep working toward her goals.
She has been putting in extra work with Coach Lacinda, coming in on her own to improve, and training with Coach Matt to get stronger and faster for the multiple sports she competes in. Her commitment to growth, willingness to put in the extra effort, and relentless work ethic are what make her stand out.
We are proud of the example Arianna sets every day. Congratulations on being our Female Athlete of the Month! 👏🔥💪

🏅Johnny Alford🏅
Johnny’s hard work continues to pay off! At just 9 years old, he went 3-for-3 at the plate and threw 4 shutout innings this past weekend.
He has made tremendous strides in his strength and conditioning, consistently working with Coach Matt to improve his lower-half force output, which is translating to success both at the plate and on the mound. Johnny also recently took advantage of an opportunity to train with USA Baseball coach Lou Colon in Florida.
Whether he’s in the facility, with his team, or putting in extra work on his own, Johnny is always focused on getting better. His dedication and commitment make him a deserving Male Athlete of the Month. Congratulations, Johnny! ⚾🔥👏

We are going to be taking each month to highlight each of our instructors. Meet our first instructor, Nathan Holt, who just also recently celebrated a birthday! ⚾️ 🥳

Nathan is a former collegiate baseball player from Sanford, NC, who brings high-level playing experience and a passion for developing athletes in hitting, pitching, and fielding. A graduate of Grace Christian School, Nathan continued his career at William Peace University, where he was a 5-year starter in center field and served as team captain for two seasons.

His accomplishments include:
🏅 2018 Carolina Virginia Collegiate Summer League Offensive MVP
🏅 2021 USA South First Team All-Conference
🏅 2021 Appalachian League All-Appy League Team

Nathan’s energy, leadership, and player-focused instruction make him a great resource for athletes looking to grow their confidence and elevate their game. We’re excited to have him working with our players at TAZ!

We are excited to introduce our new Athlete of the Month recognition program. Each month, one female and one male athlete will be selected based on instructor nominations. Qualities such as coachability, attitude, work ethic, ex*****on, and overall character are all taken into consideration. Nominations will be submitted during the last week of each month, and our staff will review each submission before announcing the two athletes who will be highlighted. This month we are recognizing Jonah Fleming & Kensley Farthing 👏🥎⚾️

Jonah has shown tremendous growth both on and off the field through his hard work, coachability, and dedication to improving every aspect of his game while working with Coach Kerry Kincaid. His pitching velocity and command have improved significantly, and he’s developed a strong breaking ball he can consistently throw for strikes. At the plate, Jonah has made major strides in staying balanced, being on time, and driving the ball to all fields.

What stands out most is his commitment to getting better every week. Jonah comes ready to work, listens closely to instruction, and applies feedback immediately. In addition to hitting and pitching lessons, he also trains in speed and agility — showing his commitment to becoming a complete athlete.
Keep working, Jonah! 👏⚾

Kensley Farthing has worked incredibly hard this past month with Coach Morgan Aycock to improve her pitching mechanics, specifically focusing on keeping her drag quick and light — and the results are showing! Her determination, consistency, and willingness to make adjustments have led to major progress in the circle.

Kensley is always coachable, asks great questions, and works to fully understand every correction and suggestion. No matter the challenge, she keeps a positive attitude and pushes through with a smile. Her work ethic and example continue to inspire those around her, making her a true leader both on and off the field.
Keep up the great work, Kensley! 👏🥎

Just a small glimpse of some of the hard working athletes that came through our doors this week. We are in the think of spring season and doing the extra things can be hard to fit in … choose your hard wisely 💪😉

What have you done this week to get you closer to the goals/dreams that you say you want to achieve? Make the effort to get just that 1% better. Progress isn’t often seen in huge leaps and bounds. Progress simply is continually moving forward in the direction you desire to go, however small each step might be. ❤️
