One of the biggest misconceptions about CrossFit is that everyone does the same workout.
They don’t.
In this Learn segment we’re talking scaling.
Every day, coaches adjust movements, weights, reps, and distances based on the person in front of them.
A workout might include pull-ups, but one athlete does pull-ups, another uses a band, another does ring rows, and another works on building pulling strength in a completely different way.
That’s not a different workout.
That’s good coaching.
Scaling isn’t about making things easier.
It’s about making sure the workout matches your current abilities, experience, goals, and limitations so you can train safely, build confidence, and keep progressing.
The goal isn’t to do what the person next to you is doing.
The goal is to keep moving forward.
