Cross Country Fam:

We are changing the location of our banquet, because we are too big for my house!
Which is a good thing! 😃

5:00 pm
We have had about 44 people RSVP, we are so excited to see everyone tomorrow.

Please come in thru the drive thru door, on the side.

Dress is business casual, nice pants and shirt will be fine. See you all tomorrow!

Cross Country Family:

We will be celebrating our season with a banquet on Sunday, November 23rd, 5:00 @ Coach Young’s home.

Our main dish with be pasta and paper products and drinks will already be supplied. We will need sides and desserts. Please use the comment section below to list your coverdish and number of total guests. We will need an accurate headcount.

I will send my address to your child privately.

Deadline to RSVP is Nov. 16th.

Congratulations to Olivia Shetler and Lea Young for qualifying for the West Virginia State Cross Country Championships! They will compete in the Class AA Girls Championship Race on Saturday at 1pm. This race will be held on the campus of Cabell Midland High School in Ona, West Virginia. Let’s Go Riders!

TODAY was the best day of the year for our squad.

Big congratulations to Olivia Shetler and Lea Young for making them 1st Team All Region and qualifing for the State Meet next week, and Ezell Grays III for earning 2nd Team All Region.

This is our theme week! . This is just for fun, please participate if u can…we will be at the track tomorrow, not sure about the trail yet on Tuesday.
We will get rain this week so please dress accordingly

Monday: wear pink for breast cancer

Tuesday: Christmas

Wednesday: crazy colors/ mismatched day.. (wear mismatched clothing ,inside out ,different socks)

Thursday: tye-die: this will also be our team meal

Friday: team spirit: red and black

Our practices will be shorter this week, maybe by 3:45 except for the team meal. Please make sure you have a ride home.

Wednesday, October 22nd - Weir HS - 2:30-4pm

Thursday, October 23rd - Practice / Team Meal - Weir HS - 2:30-4pm

Friday, October 24th - Practice / Final Prep for Regionals - Weir HS - 2:30-3:30pm

Saturday, October 25th - WVSSAC Region I Class AA Cross Country Championships @ St. Mary’s, WV - Girls 5K Race: 9am and Boys’ 5K Race - 9:45 am

Attention: Senior Athletes - Our 2025 Senior Night Recognition will be held on Thursday, October 16th at Weir vs Brooke Volleyball Match. All Senior Athletes and their families are to arrive at Weir High School no later than 5:45pm. Senior Night Activities will take place in between the JV and Varsity Volleyball Matches. Cross Country will go first and Volleyball will follow. If you have any questions, please contact Coach Lewis.

Yesterday we ran at the Wheeling Park Fall Classic, and it was one of our most successful races this season. We had 4 medal winners and 5 PRs.
