𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐅 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐓 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 - 𝐑𝐄𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑

WPD would like to inform residents of the rules regarding golf cart operation within city limits, as outlined in our new Golf Cart Ordinance. Please help us keep our streets safe by following all requirements. Here are a few key pieces to remember:

✅ Golf carts must be registered and display a license plate issued by the Texas DMV.
✅ 𝑶𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒔 𝒎𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒂 𝒗𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒅 𝒅𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓’𝒔 𝒍𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆.
✅ Golf carts are to be driven only on streets with a posted speed limit of 35 mph or less.
✅ All traffic laws apply—this includes stop signs, right-of-way, and no open container violations.
✅ Carts must have working headlights, tail lights, and reflectors.
