Went out for a quick electronic test this morning after installing all new network, and a new Sea Clear Harness. Even when everything is installed properly, and you have looked at hundreds of units over the last 3 yrs, sometimes this stuff can still make you scratch your noggin, and I am so glad for the friendship we have with Mr. Lynn Roller with Fish-Tech, LLC. One 5 minute phone call and we were cleared up and back in business! If yall want to get those units setup, and learn how to use them give Lynn a call!

🐦 Apparently this trolling motor became prime real estate. 😂

This one was packed with bird nests — and unfortunately, birds aren’t exactly known for respecting wiring, electronics, or expensive trolling motors.

If birds have decided your boat is their new vacation home and you’re starting to have electrical or trolling motor issues, don’t ignore it. Nesting material, debris, and damaged wiring can turn into a much bigger headache.

🔧 Trim issue fixed. Lake test passed. ✅

This boat came into the shop having problems with the trim on the outboard, and after getting it diagnosed and repaired, there was only one thing left to do…

Put it on the water and make sure it works like it should. 🚤💨

A repair isn’t finished just because everything looks good sitting in the shop. Sometimes you’ve got to get it on the lake, put it under real-world conditions, and make sure the problem is actually solved.

Good news on this one — trim is working great and this boat is ready to get back to fishing! 🎣

🔧 When your trim starts acting up, guessing gets expensive fast.

We’ve got this boat in the shop right now after the owner started having issues with the outboard trim system. Instead of throwing parts at it and hoping for the best, we’re doing what we always do at K5: diagnose the problem first.✅

Trim issues can come from several different places — electrical connections, switches, relays, the trim motor, hydraulic components, or something as simple as a poor connection. The symptoms may look the same, but the fix definitely isn’t always the same.

That’s why proper troubleshooting matters. 👊
