Jeff and I had a great time hosting the Watertown Park and Rec Creative Builders program. We toured all the nooks and crannies of the arena and even got to watch a live Zamboni run by our driver Sarah. We learned that the 1.25 inches of ice on a single rink equates to 13,750 gallons of water. I think the highlight may have been watching the ice shavings drop into the pit. There was also a clear consensus that locker rooms stink.

You're invited to our first Pop Up Open Skate session of the summer. The Aquatic Center will be closed this afternoon due to the cold and rainy weather. It is our goal to offer Open Skate whenever this happens as long as staff and open ice are available. We hope to see you this afternoon. Remember to have long socks along with layered clothing for the arena chill. We hope to have the concession stand available for periods of time with a limit menu.

TONIGHT ONLY - Take in the inaugural performance of Theatre on Ice prior to their nationals competition in California. It will be a fun evening of skating and the only opportunity to see this unique performance.

Summer is a great time to experience curling. Week 2 of Open Curling is this Sunday. Bring the family and join members of the Watertown Curling Club. Everyone is welcome!

Summer programming is off to a great start. This Sunday the 14th will be the second session of Open Curling. The Watertown Curling Club will be present to assist in the basics of curling. A great family opportunity. On June 23rd - Freestyle Skate will take place at the scheduled time but Open Hockey along with Stick & Puck will not be held so we can host the Employee Picnic.
