Happy Labor Day! Thank you to all of our amazing students, families, instructors, and lifeguards for another incredible summer.

Our regular season may be over, but fall swim lessons are continuing in the Hamptons, and we're teaching year round in New York City.

Instructor Spotlight: Meet Alexandros!

Originally from Greece, Alexandros has been teaching swimming and coaching fitness for over 12 years. He loves helping children and adults overcome their fear of the water and build confidence through swimming.

When he's not in the pool, you'll find him surfing at Rockaway Beach, where he lives just steps from the ocean.

Swim Qualifications:
Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor
Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Certified
Fitness Coach
Masters Degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience

Instructor Spotlight: Meet Kelli!

Kelli is an experienced swimmer, water polo player, instructor and coach. Kelli has over 31 years experience teaching swimming and water polo to all age groups. In addition, she has extensive experience in high school education as a teacher and counselor. Kelli has a background in club, high school, collegiate, and open water swimming. She competed on the United States National Women’s Water Polo Team for 9 years and was recently inducted into the United States Water Polo Hall of Fame.

She is excited to share her love of aquatic sports with her students of all ages.

Water safety starts long before anyone gets in the pool.

Our Emergency Water Safety Course is designed for parents, grandparents, nannies, babysitters, and anyone responsible for supervising children around water. Learn practical, life-saving skills including:

• Why water safety matters for children
• How to create a safer pool environment
• Best practices for staying safe in and around the water
• How to recognize an emergency and respond if someone falls in

Plus, you'll receive printable pool rules, activity worksheets, and a collection of helpful safety tools and resources to use at home.

💡 Did you know?

The first swimsuits were made from wool and could weigh up to 25 pounds when wet!

Beginning in the 1860s, bulky wool bathing dresses were the standard for beachgoers. Around 1910, women began leaving behind corsets, and by the 1920s, streamlined one-piece knit swimsuits made it easier to actually swim instead of simply wading in the waves.
