On the final day of our spring season, our two teams put together a great performance, going 8β2 on the day. An already strong finish was made even more special by the opportunity to learn from LTG (Ret.) Walter Piatt.
Grateful to have him spend time with our Army Volleyball team.
From decades of service, including leadership at the highest levels of the Army and now as CEO of Wounded Warrior Project, his message carried real weight.
He challenged our team to think beyond the game, about how we must understand others before we seek to be understood ourselves, breaking the stigma around mental health, and the responsibility we carry as future leaders to take care of our people.
A huge thank you to our alumni for making opportunities like this possible. The intentionality behind these leadership and professional development opportunities, and the willingness to pour back into this program, is what makes this network so powerful. We donβt take it for granted.
Conversations like this matter. This is leadership. This is West Point.
