Thank you to everyone who came out for tryouts. The decision process was incredibly difficult, as we had so many talented players. As we shared with the girls, if they weren’t selected this time, please don’t get discouraged — continue working hard and developing your skills. As players grow and gain strength and experience, things really start to come together, and opportunities will follow.

For 12U, several people have asked questions that others may be wondering about as well, so we wanted to share a few details:

Fees: $700 for first-year players.
Season: Runs from late December/early January through March or early April.
Tournaments: Held in Virginia, primarily in the Richmond and Fredericksburg areas.

***Important tryout information***

We ask that you register online: 12U Online Registration https://forms.gle/YVFg1EEWRBjXr3CV7

Tryout for 12U is Sunday, October 19th, 4-6pm at Mackey Thompson Learning Center. Any girl born July 1, 2013 or after is eligible for 12U.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow for check in. At check in, each player will be given a tryout number.

Family/Friends will not be allowed in the gym during tryouts so that coaches may concentrate fully on player evaluation. Following the tryout, coaches will review evaluations to build the roster. Each child will be evaluated by at least two coaches.

Team selection will be posted to the NNK Volleyball Club page by tryout number and emails will be sent to everyone who tried out. Players who receive an invitation to join the 12U team will have 48 hours to accept or decline the invitation.

Team fees cover cost of uniforms, practice shirt, backpack, volleyball, and tournament registration fees.
