Maggie May and Amie with a nice little post IU - OU workout this afternoon. Amie has her first Field Trial next weekend. Will be just the second field trial for Maggie.

Maggie May and Amie working out this morning. Four birds each.
At this point I am very pleased with their development.
Maggie is very staunch on her birds and doing a wonderful job of retrieving all of her birds whether I kill them or not!
Amie continues to figure things out and she is getting very solid with her points. Getting better with her recall as well. We are working on retrieving to hand. She still likes to carry one around occasionally.

The two youngest, Maggie May and Amie working on steadiness and retrieving this morning. Maggie is very steady and doing a great job of retrieving. Even bringing back birds that are very much alive cause I can’t hit them! 😂 She is very soft mouthed.
Amie continues to get steadier with each outing as she continues to figure it out. Working on getting her to bring the birds straight back to me.
Ginger had a nice workout this morning as well. I felt pretty good about the mornings work by the crew.

Maggie May working a few birds this morning in the rain! She had an awesome retrieve on a bird I missed. It took her a minute, but she stayed after it and finally caught it and brought it to me! 😬😃

My youngster Amie getting a little bird work in this morning. She continues to come along nicely. I am excited to see how she reacts to wild birds later this year!

This is Pepper. She is one of the young pups from our Brandy X Dan litter whelped last December. She was out in Nebraska on opening day and performed well, getting her first wild birds on her first day of wild bird hunting. Thank You Jeff and Beth Setmayer for giving Pepper the chance to do what she was bred to do!

If anyone is looking for a started Llewellin male, please reach out to me. He is out of great hunting and field trialing parents. He has a good nose, retrieving, and obedient.

Update; THE PUP HAS BEEN SOLD.

My youngster Amie getting a little bird work in this morning. Dan x Brandy daughter. She has a good nose and has no problem finding birds. Working on her steadiness after the point. Today was the first time she has held solid all the way through the flush. She’s starting to figure it out. 🙂

Maggie May got her turn at a little obedience and pigeon work this morning. Love the way this little lady works then snaps into her points when she smells those birds. Hoping her tail comes up a little more once she gets really confident with what she’s doing.
