Last night was our final Friday night race of the season, and Colin brought out three cars for one more night under the lights!

Senior Honda definitely didn’t go the way we hoped. A huge pileup right at the start left Colin’s car pretty wrecked and had him a little rattled. We decided that was enough for that one, resulting in a DNF.

But he regrouped, got back out there, and finished the night strong!

Last night was definitely a mixed bag for Colin.

He started the evening in his Senior Honda race with what can only be described as a rough start. Somehow he got caught up in a crash that I didn't even see happen… I only saw the aftermath, which was a pretty mangled race car. 😂 (That's the mom version. I'm sure Gaga has a much more technical explanation.)

After taking a few minutes to cool off and grabbing an ice pack from his favorite track grandpa, Pappy, Colin got right back out there.

He finished the night with a 3rd-place finish in Senior Animal and a 2nd-place finish in Light 160 during the Whelen War at the Shore. Not a bad way to bounce back after the way the night started.

We're not sure if we'll make it to the track next week. We've got a busy week ahead before we head to Cabo for some sunshine, fishing, and a little family vacation. ☀️🎣🏁

Fun trip to the boardwalk after racing!

Colin has been putting together some awesome races over the last few weeks, and today was no exception!

In Senior Honda, he was racing hard all day but was sent to the rear after a spin. He never gave up and battled his way back to a P6 finish.

He followed that up with two great drives, bringing home P3 finishes in both Senior Animal and Light 160 after some exciting racing.

He also jumped into the mixed World Formula exhibition race and had a blast! Every lap, he's getting more comfortable with the car and really starting to figure out how it likes to be driven.

We're proud of the effort, determination, and sportsmanship he continues to show every time he hits the track. On to the next one!

Another great night at the track for Colin! 🏁

He started P1 in the Senior Honda feature, led for much of the race, and brought home a strong P2 finish with his buddy Luke winning. Great racing by both of them!

In Senior Animal, Colin rolled off P5 and impressively made his way up to P3 after a great start! He then battled his way into P2 with his good friend Hunter keeping the pressure on. Luke took the win again, making it another fun race between great friends.

Congratulations to Luke on an awesome night! We're proud of Colin's effort and can't wait to get back on the track Sunday. 💪🏁

What a night for Colin! 🏁❤️

Our evening started in Senior Honda, and unfortunately it just wasn't our race. We're still searching for the right setup, and the crew has been working incredibly hard trying to get the car dialed in.

Things didn't get much better in the Senior Animal heat race, where Colin finished last after a battling the break. But if there's one thing we've learned, sometimes he can just turn it on. Starting deep in the field for the feature, he charged his way all the way to 2nd place.

His friend Sean said it best: “If there was a Hard Charger Award tonight, you would've won it!"

Then came the Light 160. Colin started the feature in 3rd and quickly found himself battling his buddy Jace for second. Once he made the pass, another challenge was waiting. Up front was his friend Luke who is a very talented driver. Lap after lap, Colin battled and did his best to race clean and hard before making the pass for the lead.

From there, he never looked back.

Colin had a great day at the track today, racing all four of his cars! He brought home a 7th-place finish in Honda, 3rd in Animal, 4th in Light 160, and another 3rd-place finish in Light World Formula.

His favorite car of the day was definitely his Animal. He led for much of his heat race and drove an awesome feature, showing he is regaining his confidence as a driver!

The perfect ending to a great race day was spending the afternoon swimming and hanging out with some of his racing buddies. Racing is about so much more than what happens on the track, and we're so grateful for the friendships and memories this sport continues to create.
