Located in Wakefield, MA, Movement Dance Studio was established by Owner/Director Brenda Correia. With a 30-year background in dance that began at the age of four and evolved from that point forward to performanc

e and instruction, Brenda brings to her students not only a love and respect of dance but an extensive background that includes studies and performances in jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop. Since opening Movement Dance Studio in 2003, the studio has been recognized in the media with such awards as the “Best of the Best Dance Schools” in the Best of Wakefield/Reading survey by BestOfSurveys.com and the award of Best Dance Studio from Gatehouse Media’s Reader’s Choice Awards. In addition, Movement Dance Studio dancers have performed several years in a row to sold-out audiences at the Boston Garden at Celtics games; and throughout the year perform for charitable events and fairs. Plus each year we perform in our annual themed dance recital, which entertains audiences and gives our students an opportunity and option to work toward a goal for the end of the year.
