Due to the forecast calling for rain, thunderstorms, and possibly hail, we have decided to cancel the evening paddle at Lake Kushaqua and campfire afterwards at the Station in Onchiota.

Thank you for signing up for the paddle. We were looking forward to the evening, and we'll let you know if we're able to reschedule this event.

Meanwhile, in the coming weeks, we'll be adding more community paddles to our schedule for July and August. So stay tuned, and we'll see you on the water! We also encourage you to visit the websites for Adirondack Lakes and Trails Outfitters, The Station, and Celebrate Paddling ADK to learn about other upcoming events.

We had a fun community paddle on the Raquette River in the northern Adirondacks Saturday led by NFCT Board Chair Brandon DeVito and Raquette River Outfitters Owner Anne Fleck. The group of 14 started at Axton Landing and did a 12-mile out-and-back trip to Raquette Falls. Wildlife sightings included osprey, turtles, deer, beaver, bald eagles, ducks. They also saw several wildflowers. Our next community paddles are Wednesday, June 10, at Lake Kushaqua in the Adirondacks and Saturday, June 13, on the Lamoille River in Vermont.
