Misfits ended our summer season at the Virginia Beach World Series. Although there wasn’t much softball played due to the weather at the fields there was still fun had by all. Went 1-3 on the week and found ourselves in a couple competitive ball games.
This was a bitter sweet week as this was a great way to end our season. Although much softball wasn’t played
We found ourselves having fun and bonding at the beaches, pools, resteraunts , boardwalks and attraction’s.. The memories will certainly last a lifetime.
The bitter part was that we had to say good bye to some of our longtime teammates. Not only have I had the pleasure of watching these girls grow up I have had the privilege of coaching them for many years. I intentionally cut post game meetings short and avoided the topic of conversation so it would not overshadow the week. I purposely didn’t give them a formal send off because I know this isn’t good bye but simply a pause till our softball paths cross again! I would like to wish these girls the best of luck on there new teams. I will be rooting from afar and I know you will go on to do great things!
Misfits will be turning the page to a new chapter and are eagerly awaiting our new teammates to join us. We are excited to see what this group of girls can accomplish together. Our fall season will begin Aug 1 and Aug 2 at the Canton Challenger. Great things are on the Horizon! Go Misfits!
