Season Bookend
7th overall in Championship standings
Truly one of the biggest rollercoasters I’ve been on, but we survived the grind. Many highs just to get el kabonged with harsh lows. From the pressure I put on myself to perform but to remain professional, making sure we bring quality equipment, never giving up, keeping everyone pumped up, stretching dollars, making sense of what we want vs what will do 💯 consumes me from the first week to the last week of the season. This all leaves little time to smell the roses. With having some engine failures and bad luck we just didn’t achieve what I thought our goals were, but with a few days to process everything I pulled several things of significance out.
What I learned was I may not have achieved what I originally planned, but achieved more than I deserved at the end. I made relationships that will last beyond any driving career, cemented a bond with the son I’ve never had through struggle and perseverance (yes I mean Tyler), learned how to balance the life at home, proved I can shine when given an opportunity, and somewhere this journeymen Neverwas became a mentor.
