I’m beyond grateful and humbled for last night. Brian Rogers and Kelly put me in their equipment and we had back to back top 10’s in back to back nights. Not too bad considering the first time I sat in the car was about 10 mins before the feature Friday night.

I was hesitant to make any changes last night for the feature so I could learn the car. We mustered through some chaos and finished. Just what I needed to get back some confidence. Now I have some ideas rolling around the grey matter of my brain to better us. Tyler was on it a 💯 and ready!

As I don’t know what next week will bring but either way we will continue to have fun! As it says on the back of the 191 “Thanks to Family and Friends”, I couldn’t say it any better!

To all our other partners you guys have been awesome and the most supportive ever! I can’t thank you enough!

Night started out awesome. All the previous weeks hard work had us proud for all we accomplished. Brian, Tyler, and myself got the car ready. Going through the engine, car, and getting my confidence back up after the heartache of last Saturday. Even Bregler popped up to get the trailer squared away after all the chaos. These guys never once blinked!

We got to honor the Jim Sr and the Gallagher family by running their panels this weekend. It was well received and truly a personal honor as they’ve always have been gracious to me and in our corner.

We had a good heat race finishing P2. It took a huge load off our minds about under the hood. We rolled out for the feature and got bounced around by a few cars and lost some spot but settled in and when I started to get a rhythm we got a miss. I pulled off believing it was something dumb with having oil pressure and only 180 on the temp gauge. Wasn’t a plug or a wire as hoped. I scoped it this afternoon and we had an issue in cylinder #5 most likely due to getting hot the week before. Disgusted it didn’t rear its head until the feature. Hopefully we can come up with a plan to finish the season quickly and get out of this 2 month funk.

Started 5th in the heat and finished the same, car was good just didn’t navigate the traffic as quick as some of the other cars. Car felt good.

Started 17th in the feature and we rode the first couple laps to get a rhythm because everyone tries to park in Victory lane on the first lap. Once I found my lane and timing on corner entry we were 🔥. Found ourselves in the top 10. With 5 to go the 🚩 came out as we just made our way into 6th. Then while sitting there water temp started to climb like the mountain climber on the price is right. When the opportunity came I quickly made my way pitside to cool down the engine. We found a hardware failure that stole what I feel could have been a solid top 5. The DNF most likely knocked us out of any top 5 point aspersions, but we had our foot on the next rung for sure last night.

We will do a compression test, put the scope to work, and drop the oil to see if there is any damage this week. I’m out of engines so this maybe it for the season.

I can’t thank Brian Rogers and Kelly enough for Everything they do for us! As much as Tyler runs his mouth to me, his hard work and dedication are second to none.

He and Brian had us dialed in last night, the track was racy, and I was up on the wheel l150%.

Penthouse to Outhouse in 20 laps ended with cold track fries with Moose at 1:30am.

Our night was up and down.

I had to pull some magic from my hat to make the handicap in the heat race after a hard fought battle with 5 really good drivers.

Feature we started 5th and it’s clear this old motor is reliable, but she’s a little tired. I probably had a chance if it stayed slick but it laid some rubber. I can’t thank Tyler and Brian enough for the hard work they put in last night and knowing I am giving them 150%!

We still salvaged a good points night. So big picture is still there as far as we can still climb the ladder and improve.
