Our first Dive Class for the season is this Saturday 5/16 from 9-11am at the Northcrest Pool, $30 a kiddo. We have a few spots available. Please call 361-648-2811 to sign up. ‼️Kids must be able to swim back to the side unassisted after each attempt.

Kids who swim before age 5 can show up to 15 months ahead in literacy and numeracy skills. Swimming activates both sides of the brain at the same time. Movements like kicking, balancing, and breathing in rhythm improve coordination and strengthen neural connections linked to learning. Water also adds resistance, making the brain and body work harder together.

Studies show early movement-based activities improve memory, focus, and problem-solving. Repeating swim patterns helps build timing, sequencing, and body awareness, all important for reading and math. Even 20–30 minutes a few times a week can make a difference over time.

Start simple and keep it fun. Splash, float, and play regularly. Early movement is not just exercise, it is brain building in action.

We have a few openings for this Saturday’s Sink or Swim class at Son Valley Ranch. This is an outdoor water safety class from 9am-2pm. It’s $75 and all equipment, lunch, drinks, and snacks are included. Kids need to be at least 7 years old, comfortable in the water, and able to handle some class time. Please reach out if your child is interested.

In case you missed our sign ups this year, all classes are full EXCEPT:
💦3 spots for 7-10 year olds
💦4 spots in each of the Dive Classes
💦5 spots in each of the Sink or Swim classes
Getting on the wait list for lessons or Fish Camp is still very promising as every week there are several cancellations/sicknesses.

If you spoke to me about registration and did NOT receive a text with all the info, please reach out. All swim lessons are full with growing waitlists so please follow the directions on your text to get your child’s form and payment taken care of as soon as possible. Summer is coming!☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️
