🔥Beat the Heat results:
Girls Team-1st 🥇
Boys Team-2nd 🥈

Blake Porter finished 5th overall with a 2.25 mile time of 12:50, followed by Oliver Cox in 8th place with a time of 13:18. Avery Gill came in 1st for the girls with a time of 14:13, followed by Harmony Gampper in 2nd place with a time of 14:40.

Amazing start to the season! Next up, Woodford Allcomers on Tuesday!

Congratulations to Addie Moore of Woodford County High School on winning the prestigious Kentucky Gatorade Player of the Year award for Track and Field! This is Addie’s 4th Gatorade POY award, as she has won 3 in cross-country. Addie closed out her senior season with a bang winning state titles in the 1600 and 3200 followed by outstanding performances at Nike Outdoor Nationals where she captured 2nd team All-American status in the 800 and mile while setting new PRs in each. I couldn’t be more proud and excited for Addie! She’s heading to Lipscomb University in the fall to continue her academic and athletic persuits.

Our state champion, Addie Moore, just got back from a weekend in Eugene, Oregon, where she raced at Nike Outdoor Nationals on the same track as where the Olympic Trials are held.

⭐️Addie placed 13th overall in the mile and 10th overall in the 800
⭐️She had over a 2-second PR in the mile
⭐️She was named 2nd team All-American

What a way to end a high school career! So proud of you, Addie!
