🇺🇸 This Labor Day, I’m especially grateful for the first responders who spend their days protecting and serving our communities.

It’s an honor to teach their little ones the skills they need to become aquatic problem solvers. 💙

To the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and other first responders who give so much to keep our communities safe — thank you.

And to your families who support you every day — thank you, too. ❤️🤍💙

Every student is different. Every lesson is different. 💦

Some days we nail it. Some days we slow down, adjust, and try something new.

That’s the beauty of ISR—we’re not just teaching kids what to do in the water. We’re teaching them to think, adapt, and become aquatic problem solvers. 🌊

Because every child deserves the skills to figure it out. 🩵

‼️Lessons in clothing is NOT A TEST. I repeat it’s NOT A TEST. ‼️

📢Clothing exposes any weaknesses a student may have in their swim and self rescue skills which gives us as the ISR Instructor an opportunity to work on anything that might need a little extra attention.

We do lessons in clothing because it’s the most real life scenario of a kid finding their way in the water unsupervised. It’s also WAY HARDER in clothes especially for babies in diapers which could be 1/3 their weight.

💪We train our students to succeed in the hardest scenarios.

Happy Friday!! If this doesn’t bring a smile to your face, I don’t know what will! 🥹

Notice how when simulating a fall in from the wall of the pool how he gracefully handles the changes of the water currents- even if they flow over his face. 🙌🏽

Also notice the smiles and splashes at the end. This is a little one that is not only confident in the water, he’s incredibly competent. Can your 1 year old do this? 🤷🏽‍♀️
