Swing testing on our new LE Sniper "Know Your Limits" target system with .308 & .556 utilizing Sinter Fire frangible ammunition, .5 inch thick HardOx 400. Distances 120- 50 yards.

The actual production model will be utilizing SR500 (Ramor) from SSAB.

1/2 the battle was getting a zero on these rifles (apparently from the civil war era). I have some good .308’s coming. I am not complaining by any means, and I appreciate the loaners. It’s been a while since I really went at it with fi****ms. I have to get my own kit again. Big, bad, former US Navy SEAL my ass...What a concept!

The only .308 rifle with an optic was obviously transitioning to a shotgun. I don’t think it could hold 4 MOA. Had to switch to .556 and start playing.

I did manage to get a 5 for 5 run on the Hostage Taker targets only (last one representing 300 yds), but if it not on video it did not happen. Next time.

I did manage to do a pretty good job of getting Yellow Paint on my cool Insta360 X5 from overspray. Who wudda thunk that 30+ mile an hour wind would carry spay paint downwind?…No harm, no foul

Cannot wait to get better photography and a better “system” down for testing and promotion. These are “drafts” sessions. Expect a bit more razzle-dazzle later.

Anyway, note how far the largest target swings when struck with .308 from approx. 120 yds. From our vantage point it looks like it did not move.

I say this because this is an over-sized head, 8.5” across, (and I am also thinking Shoot-to-Reset target). It’s almost 12 lbs of steel.

Huge shout out to Sinter Fire ammunition for supplying me the ammunition for our current and future testing.

Today was a good day...
All the revised components for the Law Enforcement Sniper "Know Your Limits" Ver 3 rolled up today in my assembly area. Have a few more things to do to make this ready for full production, but in a nutshell...It's kinda Bad-Ass all the way around. Targets and protective armor will be best-of-breed SR-500. Targets and hangers will be 1/2".
