ALOHA and Happy Monday!!!!!

We celebrated some family B-days last weeks here. Also lots of August bdays for our friends and neighbors even.

So, I'm gonna be honest with you all this morning .
I've thought often about retiring at 60..... told some friends also. Then I remembered I own a poke shop and I actually love what I do.
Getting older running a small shop looks like this: knees and back crack louder than the crunchy station, I need my reading glasses to read the tickets, and I’m pretty sure Togarashi and Avocado finishing sauce, are permanently part of my clothes now :-)

But every morning I still want to come in......because YOU come in.
Every bowl you order, every "hey Marc, make it extra spicy..... or extra OG veg please" — that’s what’s kept this little dream alive these past 3 years. It’s not just poke, real food,....or my love of spicy AHI Tuna....... It’s how I get to keep connected, laughing, and part of and showing up for this community.

Like soooo many families working very hard in their small businesses in our area.....without your support and understanding. we WOULD not be here.
So if you see me moving a little slower these days, or we have closed a little early due to busy lunch and our freshly prepared food not available until we do it again early tomorrow morning..... just know, that I am, still here behind the counter making it fresh for you — and...and, we plan to be here when people talk about the "ole days" in Venice/Nokomis.

Thank you all in advance for coming this week and giving the "old guy"" some business.
