SVSU Team Camp Recap

The Vulcans finished 5-1 at the SVSU Team Camp, showing tremendous growth, toughness, and team chemistry throughout the weekend. The boys competed against a variety of opponents and continued building momentum heading into the summer season.

The boys finished the day showing toughness, teamwork, and resilience against quality competition.

The Vulcans shared the ball, pushed the pace, and put together a complete performance on both ends of the floor to earn the convincing victory.

Millington Shootout Update

The Vulcans opened the day with a hard-fought 4-point loss to New Lothrop before bouncing back with two big wins.

Vassar defeated Caro 54-41 behind a balanced scoring attack led by Madix Gorleski, Kris Cerda, Mikey Olivarez, and the rest of the Vulcan squad.

The boys then came to work in a thriller against Lapeer, pulling out a 51-50 victory on a clutch game-winning three-pointer by Mikey Olivarez.

A great response by the Vulcans after the opening loss, finishing the day with two impressive wins and showing toughness and resilience throughout the shootout. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿ’ช

DZone Update ๐Ÿ€

The Vulcans opened the win column with a strong 54-31 victory over Marine City.

Leading the way was Madix Gorleski with 16 points, while Kris Cerda added 12 points. Hunter Venable and Mikey Olivarez each chipped in 8 points, Melo Poe scored 6, and Mitchell Fisher and Marshal Sherwood each added 2 points.

In the second game of the back-to-back, the Vulcans battled hard but ran out of gas against Division 1 Lakeview, falling 51-40.

Kris Cerda led the scoring with 14 points, followed by Madix Gorleski with 10 and Gary Dekalita with 8. Melo Poe added 4 points, Mikey Olivarez scored 3, and Jackson Bussell contributed 1 point.

The boys competed hard all day against quality competition and continue to gain valuable experience heading into the summer season.
