Luciano Bosis, the renowned Italian master gunmaker and founder of Fabbrica Armi di Luciano Bosis, died on August 3, 2026, at the age of 83 in Travagliato, Italy, following an illness. He was celebrated globally for crafting some of the finest bespoke, hand-made over-and-under and side-by-side shotguns.Life and LegacyEarly Beginnings: Born in 1942 in Brescia, Italy, Bosis began his apprenticeship with hand tools at the age of 12.Craftsmanship Career: He honed his precision work at Perazzi before opening his own independent workshop in Travagliato in 1977. The Bosis Standard: He became famous for models like the Michelangelo and Queen, producing a limited number of exquisitely engraved, world-class sporting arms each year.
