Something I wish more women knew about strength training.
When you lift weights consistently your body continues burning elevated calories for up to 48 hours after your workout. Not just during it. The next morning while you're having your coffee your body is still working from the session you did the day before.
That's not a fitness industry claim. That's just how muscle tissue works. It's metabolically active, which means the more of it you have the more efficiently your body runs even at rest.
And for women over 40 specifically, resistance training is one of the most powerful things you can do for your bone density, your joint health, your balance, and your long term independence. The things that make everyday life feel easy or hard as we get older are almost entirely determined by whether we kept challenging our muscles or stopped.
You don't need to lift heavy. You don't need a complicated program. You just need to show up and do something that challenges your muscles a few times a week.
If you're not sure where to start, our strength training program tells you exactly what to do every single time you walk in. Every machine, every rep, every session tracked automatically.
