I've been home from Sedona for less than 24 hours and I'm still sitting with it. Oh...and the hike in this picture truly tested my will...whew! But that's another story...I have something more pressing to share about our week...
Here's what I want to tell you about shadow work that most people don't say.
It doesn't stop at the door when you're the one holding the container.
Nadia and I have been friends, soul sisters, and colleagues for over twenty years. We love each other deeply. We also trigger each other — because that's what people who are genuinely close do. The shadow doesn't care about credentials or years of practice. It shows up in the places where we are most human.
This week it showed up between us.
There was a moment of friction. A brief but real annoyance. The kind that in other relationships might have quietly calcified into distance.
Instead — because of this work, because we both have the tools and the willingness to use them — we moved through it. Quickly. Honestly. And what came out the other side was laughter. Real, full, at-ourselves laughter.
And a bond that is stronger than it was when we arrived.
That's what shadow work actually does. Not in theory. In real relationship, in real time, between two real people who weren't immune to it.
The group this week had the kind of awarenesses that only this work can bring. People left different in the ways that actually matter.
And Nadia and I left closer.
That's what we're bringing to Mexico in October.
Not just our training. Everything we've lived, integrated, and laughed our way through together.
If something in you is saying yes — don't wait.
