🎾💙💚 THANK YOU, NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI for another Successful State Championship! 💚💙🎾

The 2026 USTA Mississippi Mixed Doubles State Championship was a huge success this weekend—even with the scorching Mississippi heat! ☀️🔥

Once again, Northeast Mississippi proved to be an outstanding host, and we could not have done it without so many people working behind the scenes.

A HUGE shoutout to Tupelo Parks & Recreation, New Albany Parks & Recreation, and Tupelo Country Club! 👏👏👏

They fed us well, kept us hydrated, tried to help us stay as cool as possible, and worked tirelessly all weekend to keep the facilities ready for play. Between matches, they were emptying court trash, sweeping lines, watering the clay courts when needed, restocking coolers, and doing all the little things that made a BIG difference.

We also cannot say enough about our VOLUNTEERS. ❤️ You welcomed players, answered questions, handed out balls and captain's bags, kept coolers stocked, and stepped in wherever you were needed.

Y'all were the BEST!

Hosting a State Championship takes a team, and Northeast Mississippi showed once again what we can do when everyone comes together.

To our parks departments, Tupelo Country Club, volunteers, tournament staff, players, captains, and everyone who helped make the weekend possible—

We hope everyone left Northeast Mississippi with great memories, great tennis, and maybe a new appreciation for air conditioning. 😂🔥

🎾 Become a USTA League Ambassador! 🎾

Are you passionate about tennis and interested in helping grow USTA League play in Northeast Mississippi?

USTA Mississippi is looking for League Ambassadors who will work with their Local League Coordinator to:

✅ Captain, coordinate, and build teams
✅ Recruit new and lapsed players
✅ Help players looking for a team get involved
✅ Serve as a captain or co-captain

💵 League Ambassadors will receive $150 for each team that includes four new or lapsed players!

📅 Applications are due August 31.
