Pop-Cycle was founded in 2008, with the goal of promoting local art made from recycled materials, re-used products and refurbished goods. Tucson is a community that has long shared an appreciation of makers and a dedication to sustainable causes. When you live in an environment of scarcity you quickly learn to rethink usage. Our true goal is to support artists in the US who were already making items out of recycled materials, and encouraging artists in our community to do the same. The focus is on stuff made from other stuff. We have two in house brands, created by co-owners DeeDee Koenen, Shannon Riggs, and Jennifer Radler. Riggs and Koenen are responsible for DDco Design, decorator items made from all kinds of found and junked materials. Radler is the maestro behind Monster Booty Threads. Libby Tobey is the face of Pop Cycle, always ready to help you find the perfect gift for someone you love, or to help you treat yourself.

These beauties feature cool Sonoran Desert critters and cacti immortalized in sterling silver. Spring is hugely inspired by the Sonoran desert. With its wild, survivalist creatures, its strange and beautiful plant life, stunning sunsets, and the incredible contrast between its vulnerability, and eternal strength, it provides both inspiration for her hand-carved casts, and material for the casts and earrings she creates using salvaged animal bones, insect wings, and owl talons.

We spent the other morning doing Avenue cleanup. Thank you to the Miranda Schubert for Ward 6 & Tucson Mayor Regina Romero for putting it together. We love the Avenue and hope that we will have continued support for our beloved district. Come down spend the day!

This guy stopped by yesterday and his people went to our Nieghbor Tucson Creative Reuse and made an amazing costume for the Halloween on the Avenue today. 👏

Just in! Handcrafted by crafting, cutting and burning sheets of felted wool, these lightweight earrings are one of a kind! Each pair is then hand painted with unique designs and coated with a durable, waterproof finish. Made right here in Tucson by local artist Bobbi Solum!

Tucson artist Jennifer of WildPeel is on a mission: to capture the essence of Arizona’s stunning landscape and unique wildlife through adorable stickers! After earning a degree in animation she turned her efforts to combining her lifelong love of animals and art through portraiture. With WildPeel Jennifer seeks to offer playful, whimsical renditions of the natural world, and joyful reminders of the beauty that surrounds us - and makes our desert home such a special place.
