We are now 100 days away from the officially announced "opening day" for Palisades Tahoe, which might include Alpine Meadows. For those that don't typically count down the days, it's usually the Wednesday before Thanksgiving that is assigned as opening day. Since Alpine Meadows closed so early last spring, we are looking at about a 230 day stretch until our favorite mountain opens again for sliding on snow. Typically that number is closer to 180 days. This week, Palisades Tahoe announced the return of the Midweek Pass, which has not been available for about ten seasons. Once the Ikon Pass took over the scene in 2018, that was the demise of the midweek pass product at most of the ski areas owned by Alterra.
