Coal River Group The group has worked for over 24 years. In 2023 15,000Kayakers visted the Coal Rivers Restoring the 88 miles of the Coal Rivers for the past 18 years.

Developed the first River Trail system in the State. The 88 mile Coal River Walhonde Water trail hosts thousands of Kayakers each year. Watershed includes 840 square miles the Big, Little and Coal Rivers and 541 named creeks.
