OHIO’S PROGRAM POWER TIERS

As the final preseason rankings close and the 2026 season gets underway, four programs have separated themselves with a combination of depth, consistency and elite statewide placement.

👑 LEGACY — COLUMBUS
Legacy enters the season as Ohio’s statewide powerhouse. Seven ranked teams from 6U–12U, including three straight #1 teams at 10U, 11U and 12U. Six teams sit inside the Top 5, four are Top 3, and Legacy carries an incredible 3.29 average rank. No program currently matches their combination of depth and dominance.

✈️ NEO FLIGHT — AKRON
Flight continues to put Akron on the statewide map with five ranked teams. Their 8U holds #1 in Ohio, while 6U sits #2 and 13U #3. With three Top-3 teams and a 4.00 average rank, Flight proves you don’t need to come from Ohio’s largest markets to build a statewide force.

🔴⚫️CARDINALS — CINCINNATI
Four ranked teams. All four in the Top 5. The Cardinals are led by the #1-ranked 9U and carry the best average ranking of this group at 3.00. In one of Ohio’s deepest football markets, Cincinnati’s Cardinals have established themselves as an elite program.

😈 FASTBREAK — CLEVELAND
Fastbreak brings serious depth with four ranked teams, including 12U 2, 7U 3 and 8U 4. Three of their four teams are inside the Top 4, giving Fastbreak a 4.25 average rank and several legitimate opportunities to challenge for 1.
