CrossTrain is a group fitness class designed for each participant to get top notch professional instruction and workouts. The class is segmented into 3 parts including warm-up, skill development and the workout. During the warm-up, we perform movement prep or PVC pipe mobility exercises (5-15 minutes). In skill development, we work on mastering skills including kettlebell movements, cleans, snatch
es, thrusters, overhead squats, push press, front/back squats, box jumps etc. Your Athletes Excel instructor will teach standard gymnastic/body weight movements including kipping/butterfly pull-ups, burpees, push-ups, dips, L-sits, AbMmat sit- ups and handstand holds/push-ups etc. Finally, the metabolic conditioning will be made up primarily of running and jump rope. You can expect to learn the skill of running to transform you into a more efficient faster runner. After skill development, the class will perform a 20-45 minutes of high intensity circuit style workout putting what you've learned in skill development to the test. Athletes Excel provides equipment including kettlebells, mats, abmats, superbands (to assist and learn pull ups), agility ladders, medicine balls etc.
