This weekend we ran our PRS Prep Course along side the Mason Dixon Precision Rifle Series Beginners Match. We had a large group of motivated students looking to learn everything they could while keeping open minds.

This match is unlike anything else in the country and gives shooters the opportunity to try competition shooting with the help of numerous veteran shooter volunteers. It’s been going for over a decade with no end in sight.

The lightbulb moments just kept coming and coming. As instructors, those moments are an addiction and we keep on pushing harder and harder to be better so we keep getting them.

We’re proud to say that all of the Top 3 finishers were students in the class and we had 6 of the top 10. Couldn’t be more proud.

Thank you to the MDPRS for having us be a part of this event, we look forward to it every year!

Our Mammoth Sniper Challenge Prep Course at Ben Franklin Range was this weekend and we couldn’t have asked for a better result.

Students eager to learn, willing to put in the effort and putting it all to the test.

Day 1 was full of instruction on match flow, what to look for and how to manage everything as a team. Some non-conventional positions for those “what ifs” that can pop up.

Day 2 we tackled actual stages but with a slow walk through the briefs and coaching, allowing students to understand what they may be doing wrong and how to correct it during the stage.

Day 3 we put it all together. 6 stages exactly how it’s done at the event. It was great to watch everyone begin to understand exactly what they needed to do. It also provided many teaching moments afterwards to see what could have been done better.

We had a great mix of previous and aspiring competitors, all the with the same goals. To learn.
