Hello everyone!

My name is Macie Middlebrooks, and I am 13 years old. I will be an 8th grader at Fremont Middle School this fall.

My horse, Taxie, is an 8-year-old buckskin, and we’ve been riding together for almost three years. She loves to run, and so do I, which makes us the perfect team!

Taxie and I are members of the Wahoo Thundering Hooves Drill Team, compete in barrel racing at local rodeos, and participate in my local 4-H club. Through these experiences, I have learned that success comes from hard work, dedication, and the determination to achieve your goals.

I am incredibly excited for the upcoming rodeo season and all the opportunities that come with serving as the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess. I look forward to meeting new people, representing the rodeo community, and sharing my passion for horses wherever I go.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity. I can’t wait to see you at an arena near you!

Hello everyone! My name is Cate Brunow, and I am 15 years old. I will be a sophomore at Woodbine High School this fall.

I have loved horses for as long as I can remember. In fact, when I was just 18 months old, my parents made the mistake of putting me on a horse for the very first time—and they’ve been stuck with my horse obsession ever since!

I am an active member of my local 4-H club, where I show horses and participate in a variety of other projects. Recently, I discovered a second passion through my school’s Marine Corps JROTC program, which has taught me valuable lessons in leadership, discipline, and teamwork.

I have looked up to rodeo queens my entire life, so having the opportunity to serve as your 2026 Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Queen is truly a dream come true. I am incredibly honored and grateful to begin this journey, and I am so excited to share this year with all of you.

Thank you for your support, and I can’t wait for all the memories and adventures that lie ahead! ❤️👑🐴

As my year as Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess comes to an end, I’ve been looking back on all the amazing memories from the past year.

It was such an honor to be the very first princess to wear the new crown and chaps. I was proud to represent the Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo everywhere I went.

Over the last year, with help from my mom, I traveled hundreds of miles and made 26 appearances. From rodeos and parades to community events and special appearances, I met so many wonderful people and made memories I’ll never forget.

A special thank you to my director, Megan. Thank you for all of your support, encouragement, and friendship this year. Thank you for helping me grow, making me laugh, and making this experience so much fun. I am so grateful for all the time we spent together and everything you did for me.

While I’m excited to finish this year strong, I’m also excited to pass the baton to the next princess. I hope she has as much fun with Megan as I did, and I hope she meets as many lifelong friends as I have during this unforgettable year.

Thank you to everyone who supported me, cheered me on, and encouraged me along the way. Being your 2025 Hoot Gibson Memorial Rodeo Princess has been an experience I will treasure forever. ❤️👑🤠

As my year as queen comes to an end, I want to appreciate everyone and everything that has helped me with this year! It has been an amazing opportunity to be able to represent this rodeo! I got to meet so many new people, and grew in many ways I never expected.
Though I am sad this is coming to an end I’m thankful for every moment and everyone who’s helped me, my friends, family, organizers, sponsors, and everyone within the club!
I am excited to see what the new queen brings to the club and even more excited that she will get to have the great experiences that I had! After all everything with the Hoot Gibson rodeo has always been fun to attend.
Thank you all for making my year unforgettable! It’s been a privilege getting to be the Hoot Gibson Memorial 2025 rodeo queen!
