Final day of camp is tomorrow ‼️ Regular schedule 9-1130 for morning session and afternoon session 1-3. We will have Coach Rincker and Coach Mrozowski again this week 🙌🏻 Anybody not pre registered can message the page or Coach Smothers to attend, just a $20 drop in fee. Let’s end the camp with a good day of training 👊🏼

Excited for day ✌️ of Vortex tomorrow ‼️ We will have Nolan Mrozowski and Bill Rincker. Two very accomplished wrestlers that will be able to show a lot of good technique. Excited for day 1 of Vortex Wrestling Academy tomorrow ‼️

If you pre-registered check your email for details on tomorrow. We will have morning session from 9-1130, lunch break from 1130-1, and a second session from 1-3pm. We will be at our wrestling room at Taylorville Junior High School. If you are paying cash / check just make sure to bring payment with you to camp.

If there are people who can only make 1 or 2 of the days I will offer $20 drop in fees for that. If you have any questions feel free to message Jake Smothers or this page🙌🏻 Thank y’all and can’t wait to get after it tomorrow 🙏🏻

Spots are filling up and we are excited to get some mat time this Saturday with Benton HS / Rend Lake College Head Coach, Kevin Tate‼️

We don’t have a huge group so we will likely host it in our wrestling room at the Taylorville Junior High School 🙏🏻

Sign up link is still posted on the page here. The morning session this Saturday will be 9-11:30 with an hour and a half lunch following, and then the afternoon session will be 1-3 pm. I will create a remind group with the phone number or email you used to sign up to send last minute updates / reminders.

Sorry for the delay everybody ‼️

We will be hosting three great clinicians in the month of May. Two former college coaches and a current college wrestler that will be announced soon. Tentatively the three camp dates will be May 16th, 23rd, and 30th. These will be a 9/10 am - 3pm with an hour and half lunch. We will sprinkle in some open mat opportunities as well. They will be at the THS new Athletic Complex and the West Gym as well. This way, parents will be able to come and watch / learn too. I will have more info and a sign up link this weekend! These will be affordable camps with quality technique. Excited to get everybody back together!

Congrats to all IHSA wrestlers still competing in the post season and good luck at sectionals next weekend 🤼 IKWF / IESA make sure to finish the season strong and continue the growth ive been seeing 💪🏼

We will be continuing our BSP Trained sessions this April, May, and early June ‼️ Likely Tuesday Thursday in Taylorville. We plan to have some new guest clinicians and continue the momentum we created last year💪🏼 No fee, all we ask is a $60 donation to the Tornado Wrestling Foundation and $75 for a family 🙏🏻

We will continue the mission to build leaders through the sport of wrestlling 🙌🏼

We will go back to our original schedule as it seemed to fit in people’s schedule better! We will be back in action Thursday 7-815 and introduce some Freestyle / Greco. We’ll stick to Tuesday / Thursday 7-815 for the remainder of camp. If you haven’t made it, or have changed your mind feel free to join us for just a $20 donation / drop in fee. Thank you again to everybody for being flexible with the schedule changes. Hope everybody had a good Memorial Day Weekend celebrating those who sacrificed their lives for our freedom 👏🏼🇺🇸🙏🏻
