A tip for swim safety this coming summer!

This is a great safety guide for children swimming in swimming pools or lakes. The colour of the bathing suit can make it easier or more difficult to see children while they are swimming. This is a good reminder to always have adult supervision when children are swimming.

What: Taylorville Lake Fun Run

When: August 12, 2023

Where: Taylorville, Illinois. Sign up for event will take place at Lot 121 right across from Bishop’s Cove from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.
Run time is 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
there will be a pot luck during sign-up. Bring a dish to share. There are 6 stops on the lake. 
After the event their will be music provided at Lot 121 for your entertainment.

The cost for the event is $15 per person. Sign up proceeds go back to the boaters.

There will be raffles and a 50/50 drawing. These proceeds will be donated to local veterans. Donations can also be made to the local animal shelter and CEFS the day of the event.

Event coordinators hope to see a lot of you there!

This is open to anyone on the lake that can float over.
To give you a general area of where it is on the lake…..from the road side it is on Lake Vista Dr in the Davis Addition.
