Quick trip to Florida to Chase some very finicky redfish. Really fun fishing!

Another great trip with the love of my life . We don’t get many opportunities to get away, just the two of us, so we soaked up every minute. Thanks to and especially our guide for finding us some fish despite some rough seas 🤢, and some elusive and picky tarpon, and some faulty equipment. In the end he put me on my PB Tarpon and lots of action on big Jacks!

****NOT A POLITICAL POST ****

Why is this not political? Because I’ve had the privilege of spending countless days in this canyon chasing trout or hiking through the forests in the background hunting elk with people from the entire political spectrum. And after 30 years as a professional guide, not once has someone thought that it would be a good idea to sell or develop these incredible public resources! Today, June 7th, is a national day of action with a goal to make sure the people in D.C. hear that Americans love their public lands, and that we will not stand for any attempts to sell or destroy them!

So here’s what we’re doing today!

•Head to your favorite public land
•Take a picture and post to social with the

This was the exclamation point on a incredible trip. It hit hard with about 80 feet of fly line out and immediately took about 75 yds of backing and proceeded to jump 3 feet in the air. After catching lots of fish through out the week, I knew instantly I was hooked on to a whole different kind of fish. My heart raced as my awesome guide slid the net under him. Thanks to and lode! 📸
