The goal of Academy Baseball is to create access to programs for all of today’s youth, not just one select group. Our focus is on growing each child developmentally and socially to help mold them into the best adults they can become, while having opportunities for a better life. We believe the answer is creating better local youth programs, which integrate all children at a young age. Academy Base
ball, formerly known as CNY All-Stars, further built upon the strong foundation developed over 20 years by former Geddes Little League President, Jim Alford. Jim proved to be years ahead of his time by being one of the pioneers of travel baseball and softball in the Syracuse area. Academy Baseball was founded by Jason Macko & Greg Sampo, both who bring multiple years of youth baseball and softball to the program. Jason Macko is a former pro-prospect, 4 year high-school Varsity starter, and Division 1 player at West Viriginia University and St. Greg Sampo has over 10 years of youth baseball coaching experience and has run and operated the CNY All-Star travel program.
