It is anyone's game for week 5. Your lowest score will be dropped for the final scores. Tonight and Monday night is your night to get some great scores. It's a beautiful a day to come out and play with your dog.
We start at 4:30pm but if you can't make it by then - still come on out and play we are usually playing for 2hrs.

Still holding 1st but not by much. Come on out for our last week for this Fall season. Tonight and Monday night. Even if you never have been put to play you are welcome to come out and play or just watch.

That’s right!

After four weeks of competition, Sunbury leads Des Moines by just SIXTEEN AND A HALF POINTS!

Sunbury opened the season in fourth before taking over first place in Week 2.

Des Moines, which led in Week 1, has been chasing Sunbury ever since.

And now, with one week remaining, these two Clubs are practically tied!

Pittsburgh moves up from fifth to third in Week 4, while St. Valère, QC, holds fourth place, just 12.5 points behind Pittsburgh!

Chautauqua County, NY, rounds out the top five.

🔥 THE WEEK 5 OUTLOOK: Sunbury versus Des Moines!

Pennsylvania versus Iowa!

With only 16.5 points separating them, the Division Championship could literally come down to one Team’s performance!

This is the closest first-place race among all 16 Super 8 Divisions!

Remember there are tiny dog points and handicap points listed with the Toss & Fetch Scores, so when comparing the two scores the Raw points are just the points you get on the field. (If you want more info on the handicap and tiny dog scoring let me know)

As I have been getting questions roller dogs... A roller dog is a dog that catches a frisbee being rolled on the ground and is noted as an R if there is nothing marked in the box these dogs are doing air catches.

So some pro and cons of doing rollers vs air throws.

Rollers
Pros - Young dogs (we usually throw rollers for
puppies until the age of 1-1.5yrs) - reason
growth plates can be damaged if jumping
- Tiny dogs or Older dogs, that we don't want to
jump
- Ease of catching or learning how to catch a
frisbee
Cons - Some dogs will slam a roller and it becomes
unsafe
- Distance can be hindered, but there are some
who can throw a really long roller, getting it out
in front of your dog before they catch it is hard if
your dog is fast.

Air Throws
Pros - Distance, speed and in most events an extra
1/2 - 1 point in games
Cons - Some dogs have a harder time tracking in
different lighting conditions, high jumps and
wind can cause the frisbee to make it unstable.

This doesn't cover everything but hopefully gives you and understanding of it.

🥇 Sunbury, PA — 7,006.0
🥈 Des Moines, IA — 6,346.5
🥉 Chautauqua County, NY — 5,278.5

Margin: 659.5 points

Sunbury has held the lead since Week 2 after starting the season in fourth place.

Des Moines, the Week 1 leader, remains second.

Chautauqua County has been moving steadily upward, climbing from seventh to fifth to third.

St. Valère, QC also made a significant move, climbing from seventh to fourth this week.

Sunbury is in a strong position, but Des Moines remains a serious contender.

No World Games Bonus Points have been reported.

Check out some of the dog having fun chasing plastic. We have two more week left until the 90:/5 season is over. Come on out and try a fun night of frisbee with your dog. We start at 4:30 on Friday 10/16, Monday 10/19, Friday 10/23 and Monday 10/26. We play rain or shine. If there are severe thunderstorms we will watch the weather and let you know if we have to cancel.
