This weekend, I had the honor of testing for my 4th Dan.
While the belt has my name on it, it is never earned alone.
Thank you to Master Terry Miller for your years of instruction, patience, and leadership. You have dedicated your life to teaching this art, and I am grateful to be one of your students. Everything I demonstrated on the testing floor was built upon the foundation you helped create.
A special thank you to Mr. Jayden Williams for countless hours as my training partner. Every drill, every correction, every difficult practice made me better. Your dedication and willingness to help me prepare meant more than you probably realize.
To my fellow students, instructors, and everyone who has shared the floor with me over the years—thank you. Every person I’ve trained with has taught me something. A Kwan is more than a school; it’s a family brought together through hard work, respect, and a shared commitment to becoming better than we were yesterday.
As proud as I am of earning my 4th Dan, I’m even more proud to be part of the Seven Points Tae Kwon Do family.
If you’ve ever thought about trying martial arts—for yourself or your child—there has never been a better time. Tae Kwon Do builds confidence, discipline, respect, fitness, and friendships that often last a lifetime. Whether your goal is self-defense, competition, personal growth, or simply trying something new, we’d love to welcome you into our Kwan.
Every black belt in our school was once a beginner who simply walked through the door.
Thank you, everyone, for helping me reach this milestone. Now it’s my turn to help the next generation reach theirs.
