Today we remember Buck Rogers — a player, supporter, and friend of Knoxville Rugby.

Buck’s passion for the game and dedication to our club left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His impact reached far beyond the pitch, and his memory will remain a part of Knoxville Rugby for years to come.

To help offset the costs of funeral and memorial services, a GoFundMe has been established in Buck’s honor. Any contribution, no matter the size, is greatly appreciated.

It’s with heavy hearts that we share that the Possums lost one of their own today.

Buck Rogers, very easily, loved our little rugby club more than anyone ever has. While the Possums may only take up a small part of this world, the love and support Buck showed us over the years meant the whole world to us. Anyone that has ever been associated with Knoxville Rugby knows, we lost a legend today.

With you, always.

Wine Country 7’s ☑️

The Possums wrapped up the weekend with a 2-1 record in pool play and a Quarterfinal appearance before our run came to an end.

We played hard, represented Knoxville well, and had an amazing time doing it. Plenty of positives to build on as we continue our 7’s circuit this summer.

We’ll also never forget the first three seconds of Game 1. Some memories are better left unexplained. If you know, you know.

A huge thank you to the Wine Country 7’s organizers for hosting a fantastic tournament and making us feel welcome.

We’ll take the lessons, the laughs, and the bumps and bruises back home as we get ready for the next stop.

On to the next one. 🔴⚫️🏉

WINE COUNTRY 7s | THIS SATURDAY

The Knoxville Possums are headed east.

New faces, old faces, and a squad that’s spent the last few weeks putting in the work. No speeches. No promises. Just another chance to test ourselves against good competition.

We’ll see you in Virginia

⚫️🔴 PLAYER SPOTLIGHT — COLLIN O’CONNELL 🔴⚫️

From Fayette, Missouri to becoming the 2025 Knoxville Possums Rookie of the Year, Collin has built a reputation one carry, tackle, and breakdown at a time.

Collin plays open side flanker the way it’s meant to be played — all gas, all day. The kind of player who turns momentum, creates opportunities, and makes everyone around him better.

Some people watch rugby.
Some people try it once.
Some become the standard.

Do you have what it takes to be the next standard? Come find out.
