Today we commemorate the 23rd anniversary of the passing of our Sifu, Bill Gebhardt. His was a light that shone so brightly and brilliantly. It was at its brightest when he was challenging and inspiring all of us to be our very best selves. For those of us who knew him, he made us all better in more ways than martial arts. We should all strive to do the same and follow his incredible example of service to others. His is a legacy that continues to live on through all of us.

Today we celebrate what would have been the 61st birthday of our Sifu, mentor, and friend. Bill Gebhardt. He was so much to so many of us. One of his many outstanding attributes was his giving nature. He always want people to experience the life-changing benefits that Martial Arts brought to hus life. Throughout his instructional career and even during the time of his illness, he put everything he could into teaching these wonderful lessons that carried beyond the physical nature of Martial Arts thus making his students better people as well. He is greatly missed, but never forgotten. His legacy keeps on rolling….

Twenty two years ago, Sifu Bill Gebhardt was taken from us. What was not taken from us were the lessons and the values and ideals that came from those lessons he taught us. He lives on through us as we continue to espouse those ideals and values. We and those we interact with are all better for it. His legacy keeps rolling…

Today we commemorate what would have been Sifu Bill Gebhardt’s 60th birthday. Though he was physically only with us for 37 years, he remains mentally and spiritually with those of us who had the privilege of knowing him and learning from him. The example he set and the lessons he taught made a tremendous impact on all of us. That legacy still lives in us, and we are all better for it.

Today we commemorate the 21st anniversary of the passing of our friend and mentor, Sifu Bill Gebhardt. Though “life goes on”, we should always look back to those who meant so much in our lives. Bill Gebhardt was one of those very few, very special people who impacted so many of us. For those of us who had the privilege of his presence in our lives, he showed us the way to our paths to become our best selves. Always remember those people, and especially remember Bill Gebhardt. His great legacy lives in all of us.

Today is the 59th birthday of our Sifu, Bill Gebhardt. It is often said when someone passes that, "it would have been" that person's birthday. But for those of us who had the rare opportunity to know and learn from Sifu Gebhardt, he remains alive through us in the influence he had on us, how we conduct ourselves, and how we live. Today IS our Sifu's birthday and his legacy IS STILL VERY MUCH ALIVE as it always will be through us... his friends, family, and students.

Today we remember with great sadness that it was 20 years ago that we lost our friend, mentor, and Sifu, Bill Gebhardt. Over these years we have shared many deserved superlatives about the man. Though we had such a short time with him and it is a sad day, we must also celebrate that time we had with him. For those of us who had the privilege of his presence in our lives, we were so fortunate to be a part of the bright light that was Bill Gebhardt. His legacy among his friends, family, and students will never be forgotten because it is so very worthy of our remembrance.

He remains with us, the proud many who have had the honor of knowing him and calling him a friend, mentor, father, brother, uncle, and son. His legacy continues on and on...

Today we celebrate what would have been the 57th birthday of our Sifu, Bill Gebhardt. Though we lost him to cancer, we have not lost our memory of him. Those of us who knew him will always have an undying respect for him, his legacy, and who he was as a human being. Happy birthday, Sifu.

Sifu Bill Gebhardt, our sifu, passed away 18 years ago today. He was a beaming light of influence that shone onto hundreds of students, family, and friends. He will always remain in the hearts of those of us who knew him as a mentor, friend, and family man. We salute you, Sifu, and thank you for all you did for us. You will never be forgotten.
