Because you were probably taught WHAT to eat, but never WHY.
And I honestly think that’s why so many people feel so confused around food.
Like, you know protein is important.
You know vegetables are good.
Anddd you’ve heard carbs are bad... then good... then bad again.
😂
And somehow you’re expected to know how to eat for fat loss, muscle gain, performance, recovery, longevity, and peri-menopause...even though those are NOT the same thing.
No wonder you feel like you’re spinning your wheels with nothing to show for it.
The thing that’s helped me the most over the years is realizing that nutrition isn’t a set of *rules * it’s a set of levers.
Depending on the goal, you pull different ones.
A meal that works great when you’re trying to stay full in a calorie deficit might not be the meal that best supports a long training session.
Same food. But different goals & different jobs!
That’s actually what I’m doing this week before my triathlon.
Just making a few nutrition adjustments based on what I’m asking my body to do.
I’ll be sharing the food, the fueling, and the thinking behind all of it this week.
If you wanna be a fly on the wall, DM TRI and I’ll add you to Close Friends for all the behind the scenes
