Congratulations to Silas on taking 1st place in the Novice Jump Competition at the Prairie Rock Trails Bike Fest in Mason City!

Silas is one of the awesome young riders I have had the opportunity to work with in Mason City, and it has been great to watch his confidence and skills continue to grow. Seeing that hard work pay off with a win is always exciting.

If you have not had a chance to visit the new Prairie Rock Trails yet, it should definitely be on your short list. The trail system continues to grow and offers something for riders of all abilities, from beginners looking to build skills to experienced riders wanting to challenge themselves. Add in events like Bike Fest, and it is quickly becoming a must visit destination for mountain bikers in the Midwest.

While you’re there check out Wayne’s Bike and Ski! Bunch of awesome guys working to make their bike community all the time.

Great job, Silas! Keep having fun, keep progressing, and enjoy that top step of the podium!

Huge congratulations to three incredible young men that I am unbelievably proud of.

Congratulations to Jacob, Nick, and Gavin on graduating high school this year! These guys have truly grown up through the Wheels Up family and programs. Jacob has been with me for nearly 11 years, Nick for over 8 years, and Gavin for around 7 years. It’s honestly hard to put into words how special it has been watching them grow from young riders into outstanding young men. I will have to dig to find some little rider photos soon!

All three have been captains and leaders on the Wheels Up Enduro Team, role models for younger riders, summer camp helpers, racers, mentors, and the kind of teammates every program hopes to have. They helped shape the culture of Wheels Up through hard work, respect, encouragement, and simply leading by example. I have an immense respect for these 3 young men.

While they may not be riding with me in the day to day programs anymore, they leave behind a huge impact on the WU teams and community. They are accomplished riders and racers, but more importantly, they are genuinely great humans, and that means even more to me.

Thank you to their families, Ed, Tanya, Doug, Michele, Josh, and Melissa, for trusting me over all these years to help coach, mentor, and be part of your riders’ lives. That trust has always meant the world to me, and it has truly been a privilege having them in WU and watching these boys grow into the young men they are today.

I am beyond excited to see where life takes each of them next. No matter where they go, they will always be part of the Wheels Up family. Hope to see them all on bikes soon.

Proud coach moment for sure…
